This organic washed Peruvian beauty comes from Cocla – a second tier co-operative made up of 22 first tier co-operatives that have been working for 44 years to support Peruvian agriculture and social justice. In 2006, Cocla founded a centre that cares for women who have been subjected to psychological and sexual violence.
During the harvest, producers pick the ripe cherry and pulp and ferment it overnight for 12 to 16 hours. After this, they remove the immature floaters with washing and then dry the coffee for the next 8 to 15 days.
